Making your own light weight portable target that breaks down for easy transportation.
Items needed:
- 1 2x4 8ft long $3.34
- 1.5in 5ft short piece of PVC Pipe $4.18
- 2 1in x 1.5in furring strips 8ft $1.17 Each
- 4-inch screws
- 2.5-inch screws
- Drill
- Drill bits
- Old Election signs recycled or similar plastic panel Optional or piece of Cardboard. free
- Chop Saw
- tape measure
- Staple Gun
I find the old election signs as a backer work very well and are almost self-healing.
Make base about 30in wide
Predrill the holes in the PVC pipe before screwing into base
You will just slide the Fir Strips into the pvc these are made to easily be pulled for breaking down to transport or interchange if they get to shot up.
Staple your backer to the fir strips and this is what your paper target will staple too at the range.
This backer seen here is plastic and lasts a long time.
This base is under 20.00
